Scramble
Best shot, one team score
Scramble is one of the most popular team formats in golf, especially for charity events, corporate outings, and casual rounds. On each hole, every player in the team hits a shot. The team then selects the best shot, and all players play their next shot from that location. This process repeats until the ball is holed. The result is a single team score that combines the best efforts of every player. Scramble removes individual pressure and encourages aggressive play.
Pro Tip
Perfect for groups of all skill levels. A couple bad shots can be mitigated by teammates, encouraging everyone to swing freely and go for it.
Rules & Scoring
Selecting the Best Shot
After all team members hit, the team chooses the best result. "Best" usually means the closest to the hole or in the most favorable position. All players then place their ball within one club length of the selected spot (no closer to the hole) and play from there.
Scoring & Settlement
The team records one score per hole. At the end of the round, the team with the lowest total score wins.
